One Community Overview.mov

http://www.onecommunityranch.com is an intentional community and sustainable living model that includes food, energy, sustainable building design, education, recreation, and social architecture as the infrastructure for a new way to live.

"One Community is a collaborative vision for a new way to live founded on sustainable abundance and people coming together - to show the world that the way that we are currently living isn't the only way.

Designed to create and demonstrate the open-source blueprints for a sustainable world -- we are working together to establish a resource based economy by building our infrastructure on 100% food, energy and shelter sustainability."

Intentional communities around the world are demonstrating different and new ways to live with varying levels of sustainable living practices - One Community is taking sustainable development theory to an entirely new level by asking the question "what is happiness" and building a social, personal development, and recreational foundation for our sustainability model.

"In doing this we create FREEDOM and a more fulfilling living experience by allowing people to truly express themselves creatively and collaboratively without the limits of worrying about where the resources are coming from.

This experience allows people to do what they love, and what they are good at,
opening the flood-gates to the creation of tools, resources, and profound beauty for our community - and the world.

With a constantly evolving team of unparalleled diversity, we see EVERY experience as an opportunity for learning, growth, artistic expression, and freely sharing what we create to build a better future for everyone.

From the creative design elements of our buildings, to the permaculture design of our food production, to the social architecture of our culture; if the idea of working with an amazing group of diverse people committed to bettering themselves, each other, and the entire human organism is exciting to you: Take a look at our website, our world changing vision and step by step process for achieving it, and One Community's invitation to join us.

4/11/11

Spent the day thanking everyone for their support of the facebook fan page! Also got the final documentation for our 501C3 and wind of an 80 acre property just a couple hours South of LA and adjacent to an ashram... ponds on the property and it sounds beautiful. Going to go check it out on Thursday with a new community interest person I just met.

Learned a few YouTube lessons.

Up until 3 last night

Well, this weekend was beyond busy and successful.

Met with a long time political activist and futurist Debra Olson and really felt a profound and beautiful connection. Her vision and ours are directly in line and we discussed financing, business plans, properties, and more. All in all a fantastic meeting and she is going to help make connections with financing as she has extensive experience and networking in the sustainability arena and financing.

Also spoke with Judy Quay - AMAZING woman as well. Between her and Debra I felt like I was visited by two angels! Judy had not seen the website yet but completely resonated with the vision and has a dream of a healing Pyramid that is directly in line with the pyramid John has been talking about for the 6th chakra.

Also spoke with a long time friend Kean who's dad has a banker friend that is "looking for a project just like this to invest in"... crossing my fingers and will meet with Kean to discuss details over lunch this Friday.

What else...

Rolling out the Social Media Support Group today by contacting our 120 fans on FaceBook... created this page to support that venture: http://www.onecommunityranch.com/helping-one-community.html

Also created this page to help get us ranked for "one community" in Google: http://www.onecommunityranch.com/one-community.html

Biggest bummer with a huge silver lining was finding out that some error in iWeb had created problems with a bunch of random links throughout the site requiring that I go in and manually enter each link as if it were a link to an external page vs. a page as part of the site, which took about 5 hours split between Sara and I and got me to bed around 3 AM.  Silver Lining: this corrected a google indexing problem I'd been trying to figure out for the past couple months or so... SWEET!

Set up our conference line and will host our first conference call tonight.

There's a ton more that I did but I can't remember it...

One Community Team :: Professionals | Innovators | Visionaries

Spent the day putting the final touches on our 501 C application, editing our proposal page, panicing and fixing an almost complete loss of the website (seems to happen a lot), studying how Twitter works, and updating as follows:

One Community Team :: Professionals | Innovators | Visionaries has now been updated with our newest team member Larry Reck!!!

Larry Reck - Physicist, Energy Efficiency Expert, Carpenter, and Music Producer: After having completed 4-years of education at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs, Larry first started his journey through the “Matrix” as a physicist in support of NASA Space Shuttle missions at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX later continuing his government work as a nuclear remediation consultant for the Environmental Protection Agency at Rocky Flats, CO. Leaving government employ Larry diversified his career and started an import business of Mesoamerican artisan works; living with the indigenous artists in Southern Mexico, working with them, designing art, and getting his first unforgettable taste of living in true community. In this community, he began learning construction techniques and upon returning to the United States continued as a carpenter, remodeling and constructing houses.

Three years ago, Larry returned to his physicist roots and began studying all forms of alternative energy with specific interest in the more exotic technologies with the potential to completely eliminate the use of fossil fuels like using water as fuel, cold fusion, magnetic motors, and electromagnetic resonance. As part of his passion and exploration Larry has successfully implementing new technologies that improve the efficiency of the gas combustion engine by up to 40% and now heads up the One Community alternative energy team with the shared vision of creating a complete city that pioneers and showcases the most cutting edge sustainable energy technologies of our time.

In addition to Larry’s already diverse and relevant experience, he also writes and produces music using a state of the art production studio which we will re-create as part of One Community.
